Kristen is the Founder and CEO of KomplyAi.  An innovative Australian technology start up in governance, risk, and compliance for artificial intelligence. KomplyAi and its product offering is a first of its kind for the APAC region and a trail blazer in solving next generation challenges in AI risk management.  KomplyAi offers a leading enterprise SaaS platform to support organisations and their teams in meeting their global regulatory responsibilities throughout all life cycle stages of an AI system. 

 Kristen’s background, an IP litigator for global law firms, and as in house legal counsel working across universities, banks, and operating her own legal practices, for over two decades.  Her passion and specialisation in deep technology laws and building technical GRC systems in dual use technologies and sanctions for enterprise and with government, led her to build KomplyAi.

 After years of fundamental R&D with MIT, AI Computer Lab, and other leading universities and research institutes, in 2022, KomplyAi was selected to collaborate with the leading APAC Prototyping team at Amazon Web Services to build a first of its kind prototype SaaS platform for AI compliance.  KomplyAi recently supported AWS announcing their work together, and opening the first AI innovation hub and “Builder’s Studio” outside of the U.S., in Australia.
